Telling my story I dont expect you to pity me or to feel sorry for me. Just understand & listen. I’m still learning. I went through a dysfunctional family & a diffulcult childhood. My dad was a residential school survivor and my mom went through the same symptoms and patterns i went through. So i had to fight the demons with them growing up…at the age of six. I went through alot at a young age, and so did my sister. and sorry if i didn’t share more, but I’d blacked out some memories back then…i cant seem to remember some memories, only a few of them. During the story. I said we left my dad one night, after the traumatic event. A year later he came back to us, and i was relieved for some time, and he’s been sober for 15 years..and he went through a healing journey, and so did my mother. & of course me as well. & just last year. I completely forgived my father and mother, and that wall between us broke down after letting forgiving them. it was the greatest feeling i ever had in forever. The weight was off my shoulders. I took me awhile to see myself, and release all that anger, rage, & heavy emotional baggage i was carrying around all these years. It wasn’t easy. After being quiet in over a decade. i eventually get it all out. Almost all of it. I’m still recovering everyday. PS for those of you still holding all your emotions on what you went through. Don’t hold them in. Supressing it only makes it worse…Let it all out. I guarantee it’ll make you feel better …
